Rowan, retired from battle and the politics of the Frontier, is living out his life on a quiet ranch gifted by the Baron, his daughter’s guardian. A rival family invades his land and he loses everything in a bloody battle. With a reckless gunslinger and his young companion, he journeys north to seek the Baron’s help to win back his land, and his daughter while he’s at it.
When his blood poured through the roses, Rowan knew he’d never see his daughter again. Over a dozen men and women had died by his hands since he’d left the river to find her.
