Hey, I’m Kory Kunze.

 

I write fast-paced dark adventure fantasy where the stakes of escaping one’s ensnaring emotions are just as high as escaping the squid monster hiding on the other side of our thin reality.

 

I’m inspired by the lakes, towns, woods, backyards, and cities I’ve grown up exploring, and the persistent curiosity of finding the hidden highways between worlds both real and imagined. I’m passionate about turning that made-up graphic novel or video game in my head into words on a page.

 

My stories begin with an ordinary person shackled with emotions like grief, fear, jealousy, or guilt, and are pulled into unexpected settings and adventures that never quite end the way they expect.
